Work Assessments (Telehealth)
Telehealth Work Assessments through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Karenza works primarily with autistic teens and adults.
For teens, parent or caregiver involvement is required to support implementation of strategies and ongoing progress.
Karenza offers workplace assessments for autistic people seeking support to sustain meaningful participation in work. These assessments explore strengths, difficulties, and support needs within the current work role and environment. The approach is holistic and affirming, with a deep understanding of the autistic neurotype. It recognises the impact of sensory needs, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and systemic/environmental barriers.
Each assessment includes a collaborative interview, with optional standardised assessments if required. You will receive a detailed report with practical, personalised recommendations for workplace accommodations and supports.
Telehealth appointments are available nationally.
Why might I need a Work Assessment?
A Work Assessment can support with:
Identifying current work-related stressors (e.g. sensory load, communication, emotional regulation, executive functioning, fatigue, burnout etc)
Understanding how your neurotype and health impacts work (including PDA-specific needs where relevant, or chronic illness)
Identifying strengths, skills, and environments where you work best
Exploring practical supports, adjustments, and reasonable accommodations
Exploring assistive technology and tools that may support work participation
Clearly articulating and advocating your needs with your employer
The Assessment Process
Fees
Karenza works with privately funded and NDIS clients. Clients who have NDIS packages may use their funding to cover the fees for services only if their package is self-managed or plan-managed.
A Work Assessment typically involves approximately 10 -15 hours of clinical work. Fees generally range from $1939.90 to $2909.85, depending on the complexity of the assessment.
